Chewing gum on clothing can be difficult to remove. If you refrigerate the clothing for a while, the gum will become brittle and easier to scrape off with a razor blade.
Dyed clothing often fades after washing. If you rinse the clothing in clean water with two cups of beer after washing, the faded areas will be restored.
White clothing often turns yellow over time. Soaking it in a solution containing indigo will restore its whiteness.

Oil Stains
① Oil stains on clothing can be scrubbed with rosin water, banana oil, gasoline, etc., then soak in 3% salt water for a few minutes before rinsing with clean water.
② For oil stains on silk jewelry, gently scrub with acetone solution.
③ Oil stains on dark clothing can be removed by scrubbing with leftover tea leaves.
④ Mix a small amount of toothpaste with laundry detergent and scrub the oil stain on clothing to remove it.
⑤ Mix a small amount of flour into a paste and apply it to both sides of the oil stain. Let it dry in the sun, then peel off the coating to remove the stain.

Paint Stains
① For paint or spray paint stains on clothing, apply a small amount of cooling oil to both sides of the garment. After a few minutes, rub it with a cotton ball along the warp and weft lines of the fabric. The stain will be removed. This method can also be used to remove day-old paint stains. Just a light application of cooling oil will cause the paint to wrinkle and peel off. Wash the garment again, and the stain will be gone.
② For new stains, rub the area with turpentine or banana oil, then scrub with gasoline. For older stains, soak the area in a 10-20% ammonia or borax solution to dissolve the solidified material, then scrub it clean.
Wine stains can be removed effectively by rubbing them with boiled milk. This is particularly effective on white cotton and linen.
For ink and lipstick stains, rinse with detergent after washing with water, or mix glutinous rice with detergent. Alternatively, apply toothpaste to the stain and rub it, then rinse. For silk, lay the stain face down on a clean piece of paper, apply dry cleaning detergent or alcohol, and rub the back of the stain until it disappears. Then wash and rinse.

Mold Stains
① If mold spots appear on clothing, rub a small amount of mung bean sprouts on the spot, then rinse with clean water.
② For new mold spots, scrub with a soft brush, then rinse with alcohol. For older mold spots, apply a dilute ammonia solution and let it sit for a while. Then apply potassium permanganate solution, and finally treat with sodium bisulfite solution and rinse.
③ If mildew stains appear on leather clothing, rub it with a towel dampened with soap and water. After removing the dirt, immediately rinse with clean water. Let it dry before applying oil.
④ For mildew stains on white silk clothing, scrub with 5% white wine, which is very effective in removing mildew.
⑤ For mildew stains on silk clothing, generally scrub with a soft brush in water. If the mildew is severe, apply 5% salt water to the affected area, let it sit for 3-5 minutes, and then rinse with clean water.
